Budgeting for For-Profit Companies

My name is Floyd A. Simmons and I am a financial consultant and CPA. My job is to help companies that are 0 to 5 years in existence save money, avoid debt and have money available to achieve your financial goals

I do this by helping companies establish a budget and then meet with them, on a monthly basis, to discuss actual vs budgeted results:

• If expectations aren’t being met, my job is to help figure out why? 
• Why are sales lower than expected? 
• Why is the company spending at a higher rate than expected? 

I look at the current month 2022 and compare it to the same month during 2021

• What changed? 
• I also compare YTD 2022 to YTD 2021
• Again, what changed? 

Proper budgeting helps to control spending, which results in saving money. When you can save money you can:

• Avoid debt
• Have cash available to achieve your financial goals

Even if the company already has an established budget, I can still provide consultation by pointing out something that others perhaps may have overlooked.

I am not here to replace your accountant or bookkeeper, but to work with them to help your company achieve its financial goals.
